From our press release

In January 2022, we will present our One Act Play competition piece, The 146 Point Flame by Matt Thompson. An Italian immigrant, Vincenza, shares her last night on Earth with romance, smiles and dancing. Tessa celebrates her life with a story about her brother and mother. This moving show highlights an incredibly important and often overlooked event in American history that led to many fire and building code changes and advances in workplace protection, and highlighted the struggles faced by low wage factory workers in America.

(We would like to point out that the show is about the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, which was the worst industrial disaster in American history prior to 9-11-2001, and may not be suitable for all audiences.)
